Splendor, a game to earn points through jewels. Jewels are resources of the game, and jewels can lead to other jewels, or victory points. Have enough jewels? You just may attract the attention of nobles, who – you guessed it – gives you more points.
The early game is slowwwww, however things pick up once people collect a sufficient number of resources. It is a game that is challenging to the casual gamer, and there is a strategy aspect to this with the reserve and resource collection aspect of each turn.
A 7/10 from me as a ‘main course’ for Games Night.
